Video blog updated

I've posted in my videoblog! It's awful, and it's been encoded really badly but I'll fix the encoding later, and hopefully my being uncomfortable infront of the camera will fade, the more I do this...

If video blogging do get popular... the web hosting & owners will have big headaches over bandwidth. ;)

Not if people compress well. iMovie is surprisingly well equipped when it comes to this -- that was a default "share for the web" export (although the quality could be improved a little. That post was only 1.5mb! I could transfer that nearly 450,000 times before hitting overage fees.

Bandwidth and storage is getting cheaper and cheaper, so I doubt it'll really be so much of a problem.

try using 3ivx on 2 pass variable bit rate. Don't turn on anything that will mean it uses advanced simple profile or it will not work on quicktime 6 without a codec.
Constant bit rate if you want it to stream better if you're using QTSS

3ivx codec can be got from www.3ivx.com
you don't need this codec to play the movie just encode it
doing a 2 pass encode means you must do it twice, select first pass the first time and second pass the second.
you should be able to get a smaller bitrate as you're not moving about much.
