I'm just this guy, y'know? I'm CTO of Rocket Dog Creative, I'm Unadopted, I was once a volunteer developer for LiveJournal, I used to work for Orange, I used to work behind the bar at The Crown (and now work at The Southfield), and I'm still a student. I've done a lot in a short amount of time.
Education
I'm resitting the second year of a BSc Computer Programming degree at University of Teesside, in Middlesbrough due to mitigating circumstances. I was also once a student at the University of Durham, and am now alumni.
Work
I'm the Lead Developer for Rocket Dog Creative. As part of that job, I invented Fusion, I invented Datastorm, and I also created Minilog.com, an online journalling community based on the LiveJournal Server software, which sadly had to close in October 2007.
What I used to do for LJ
In February 2001 I decided that I wanted to do something to contribute towards LiveJournal - so I started helping out in LiveJournal's support department. I learned a lot about LiveJournal in there... also I updated one or two of LiveJournal's FAQs when they got out of date.
After that I didn't do a lot, until I decided to re-do the style of my journal... so I redid my journal, and ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) insomnia saw it and said it was really cool and that it should go "public" so that everyone could use it. You can read more about the launch of Refried Paper (what I decided to call my style) here.
I helped out with the creation of the LiveJournal Text Messaging service, when it was first developed. Since then, iicarrii and I maintained it. If you want help, however, this is not the place to ask, but this FAQ points you in the right direction.
